Bethany and Brian were married at the Riverton United Methodist Church in Front Royal, VA, with a very action packed reception following at the Bowling Green Country Club, also located in Front Royal. I have known Bethany since she was in my third grade class, at Fresta Valley Christian School--one of the sweetest students I had the pleasure of teaching! She has grown into a most gracious and beautiful young lady, both inside and out--Brian is very fortunate! Brian is a special young man as well, very uninhibited and loves to have fun! We grew to love him more with each moment we got to spend with him.
The sun streaming through the windows of both the church and the reception hall seemed to be heaven expressing its blessing on this union. Thank you Brian & Bethany for giving us the opportunity to share in these precious moments that you will cherish for a lifetime.
Enjoy your sneak peek! All the images will be posted on www.collages.net by Sept. 11th.
Our July 31st wedding was at the Morman Temple in Kensington, MD, with a reception at the Church of Latter Day Saints, in Stafford, VA. (The whole wedding is on line at www.collages.net. Contact Debbie or Wayne Jones, 540-347-5714, or dandwjones@fauquierfotos.com to veiw it in its entirety) We waited outside the temple for the bride and groom to appear, following the ceremony, with the other guests and wedding party. Fabrizio and Melissa's appeared as a married couple, and the photo opts began! The Wedding Photography began in front of the temple, with formal group portraits and ended with environmental portraits and bride and groom portraits in front of an arbor in the temple grounds garden. The reception included a lovely ring ceremony, a DJ, dancing, garter and bouquet toss, and a very tasty(and a little bit spicy!) buffet meal. A crowd of guests with bubbles and birdseed saw the couple off at the end of the evening. Melissa was an adorable bride, and Fabrizio looked very handsome in his black tux and purple tie. They were a playful couple, and we had a blast taking their photos!
My son, Brian and Michelle were married at the Church of Christ in Warrenton on July 24th, one of the hottest days of the year! In spite of the heat, they and their whole wedding party braved the heat and went outside for both pre-ceremony portraits and wedding party portraits after the ceremony. My son looked so handsome and Michelle was drop-dead gorgeous! She took my breath away every time I looked at her, and our cameras loved her! They had an old fashioned trolley bus transport the whole bridal party to the Evergreen Country Club in Haymarket, Virginia. Their reception was a jam-packed one, with several dance routines performed by the bridesmaids and groomsmen, as well as a very entertaining dance by Brian and Michelle to a montage of songs! Brian changed into a hot pink custom-made tux with green polka dots after all the main events had taken place(That's my son!). His tux matched all the wedding colors, orange, watermelon and green! He is a character! At the end of the evening, the bridesmaids and groomsmen joined Brian and Michelle in a performance of the song, "So Long, Farewell", from the Sound of Music--it was so adorable! They all did a great job! Then all the wedding guests filed outside onto the golf course to see Brian and Michelle leave in a helicopter! Can't beat that kind of exit! Thanks for allowing us to share in your special day! We love you both!

We enjoy sharing some of our favorite samples of Wedding Photography on our Blog Page. Josh and Michelle were married on June 5th, 2010, at the Culpeper Methodist Church, in Culpeper, VA with a reception at the Culpeper Business Center. Josh's dad, Randy Orndorff performed the ceremony and did a great job! The ceremony was absolutely beautiful, and a family friend loaned Josh & Michelle a restored classic white 1957 Ford Thunderbird for photos outside the church, following the ceremony. The car made for some really great images, and complimented the "pool blue" bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen vests. Add to that, dozens of big white balloons and the perfect "after the rain" diffused lighting, and how could we go wrong? Michelle looked stunning, in her gown, and was so sweet to work with, as was the whole Chapman clan. Josh and his crew were a hoot, and were inventing their own poses, much to Wayne's delight! Then it was on to a reception with a dance floor filled with big white balloons, and dancing guests throughout the evening! Their party rocked until 10:45 pm, when Josh and Michelle were sent off with sparklers and a release of the big white balloons.
Steve & Rana Palese, the bride's aunt and uncle, graciously opened up their home for this beautiful May 31st outdoor ceremony. At first glance, you may think this was a destination wedding in some tropical location, but in fact it actually occured right here in Warrenton, VA!The Paleses have a beautiful yard next to a pond and have done an awesome job painstakingly landscaping it into their neice's wedding wonderland. The Asaro and Beechler families were so much fun to work with, and the Paleses were more than willing to allow all the hubbub and excitement of a wedding to spill out into their entire household! From the ceremony site, it was onto a lively reception at the Warrenton Moose Lodge, where some of the guests even cooled off in the swimming pool, clothes and all! Jamie was gorgeous and she told me she felt like Cinderella. Richard was a handsome groom and was so tender and protective of Jamie the entire day. We wish God's blessing on this special couple.
We went to Richmond to photograph a December wedding in the middle of the Northeastern Blizzard of 09. We left for Richmond on Friday before the storm hit full force, so we would be there the next day for the wedding. All that snow did not phase the bride and groom, who, due to the weather, had to reschedule their reception from the Science Museum of Virginia to the Sheraton Park South Hotel. The Museum was closed due to heavy snow. Luckily, Jordan's aunt, who was also their wedding coordinator, worked out the alternate details, and the hotel, very graciously offered one of their ballrooms for Vanesa and Jordan's reception, The manager at the Sheraton even sent their snowplow driver over to the church to plow the church parking lot before the ceremony! Jordan and Vanesa took it all in stride and kept their sense of humor, with every change in plans during their special day. The whole wedding party was cooperative and flexible, even when the bride asked them to trudge out in 6" of snow for photos! A couple of the groomsmen went out first and cleared a path, using only thier feet, to the hotel's gazebo. Wayne and I, and the rest of the wedding party followed, some in high heeled, open-toed shoes and no jackets! It was well worth the effort--the images outside in the snow look amazing! It was a beautiful cermony and a fun reception from start to finish.
