Sheraton Park South, Fredericksburg Wedding

We went to Richmond to photograph a December wedding in the middle of the Northeastern Blizzard of 09.  We left  for Richmond on Friday before the storm hit full force, so we would be there the next day for the wedding.  All that snow did not phase the bride and groom, who, due to the weather, had to reschedule their reception from the Science Museum of Virginia to the Sheraton Park South Hotel.  The Museum was closed due to heavy snow.   Luckily, Jordan's aunt, who was also their wedding coordinator,  worked out the alternate details, and the hotel, very graciously offered one of their ballrooms for Vanesa and Jordan's reception,   The manager at the Sheraton even sent their snowplow driver over to the church to plow the church parking lot before the ceremony!  Jordan and Vanesa took it all in stride and kept their sense of humor, with every change in plans during their special day.  The whole wedding party was cooperative and flexible, even when the bride asked them to trudge out in 6" of snow for photos!  A couple of the groomsmen went out first and cleared a path, using only thier feet, to the hotel's gazebo.  Wayne and I, and the rest of the wedding party followed, some in high heeled, open-toed shoes and no jackets!   It was well worth the effort--the images outside in the snow look amazing!  It was a beautiful cermony and a fun reception from start to finish.

Debbie and Wayne were such a pleasure to work with! I could not have been more blessed by their presence at my wedding. It was the most stress-free decision I could have made. They were so cooperative, organized, and assertive without being overbearing or pushy, and still flexible and able to change on a moments notice. They could organize my crazy family and pull things off in a quality but efficient manor. What a pleasure! And AFTER the big day, I became even more pleased with the results. I am one of the most picky people I know when it comes to pictures of myself and I truly could barely find any, of the hundreds and hundreds of pictures taken that I didn't like! The photos are wonderful! The perfect balance of posed and candid photos. AND she had them up so fast- and she sent me a sneak preview while I was still on my honeymoon for my new groom and I to look it. So much fun! She is even designing my album for me, and I got to pick out a few pictures to have to post on facebook! ;) I could not possibly recommend any photographers more than Debbie and Wayne! Thank you guys so much- I appreciate everything more than you know. -Vanesa, bride

I loved Wayne taking pictures of the guys getting ready before our big day. He really blended in and captured all the moments I would have wanted. He was so much fun to work with. I really enjoyed the way, as the groom, I didn't have to worry one minute about staging pictures or if they got the shots I would want. Wayne and Debbie truly covered it all, without getting in the way or drawing attention to themselves. I truly am really pleased, and even more pleased that my bride is happy with how the pictures turned out. -Jordan, groom
